Some New Features for Kazork.com

by Admin 7/11/2008 9:15:00 AM

Hey everyone;

You may have noticed some new changes this morning to our site. We have added a nifty map feature that will allow you to visually search by state and county; this also adds a county drop-down menu that's all inclusive; but you'll still see YOUR county drop-down menu if you've selected any. (To add or select particular counties you want to search in, go to your MyKazork and then to MyAccount; then Edit Your Counties on the left hand side. These counties will then appear in the drop-down menu on the search page called MyCounties and will allow you to quickly search in those areas.) The all-inclusive county drop-down menu will only appear once you've selected a state. There's also an icon for the map feature underneath the saved searches area that will allow you to start over with the map if you reach an end to your search.

Agents and buyers may notice something new: Kazork Featured Properties. These are denoted in the search results by our green "K" icon. Basically, a Kazork featured property is one running an OSP (Offer Submission Period) on our site, which means that an agent can submit an offer online for that property.

Go play around and let us know what you think! Drop a comment here with your thoughts or write us at comments@kazork.com with any suggestions or opinions.

For the agents who are feeling the squeeze at the gas pump!

by Admin 7/1/2008 10:09:00 AM

On June 23rd, CNN Money wrote:

"The Internal Revenue Service, citing the drain that high gas prices are having on people's finances, said Monday it is raising the automobile mileage rate that businesses and others can claim.

The tax agency said the optional standard rate to calculate deductible operating costs for vehicles will rise from 50.5 cents a mile to 58.5 cents for the final six months of 2008."

We here at Kazork are feeling the squeeze at the pumps too.  We realize we can't do anything about the price of gas for your car, but we try to do our part by keeping the commissions being paid higher than the industry standard.  We hope that the extra commission helps!

by Admin 6/30/2008 11:31:00 AM

The NAR announced Thursday that existing homes sales increased 2% in May.  While this remains 16% below May 2007 pace, it does mark only the 2nd time in the last 10 months that sales have increased month over month.

We have a blog! ... and other neat stuff

by Admin 4/24/2008 8:48:00 AM

Welcome to Kazork's new blog!

We will be using this blog to give information to you about what's new with the site, get some feedback from you about our system and our site, and give you an insight into what goes on at Kazork. We'll also ask some questions about what's going on with real estate in your area, share interesting info we find, and give you some tips on how to better use the site.

I'll go ahead and start with what's new for today:

For our search properties page, we separated out the previous one search field into four new ones: Address, City, State, and Zip. If you are just looking for properties in your city, you can now search more effectively that way; also, if you are looking for a particular property it should be easier to find now. To search by address, the system will check for anything that contains the parameters you entered, so if you type the word "apple" in the address search box, it would return properties that have the word "apple" anywhere in their address. Likewise, if you were to enter "27" and search, it would return properties that have a "27" anywhere in their address as well. The states are now in a drop-down box, and the zip code box will only accept five-digit zip codes to search by.

For searching by city, the system will check for anything that begins with what you entered. So, if you're searching in California and enter "San" into the city search field, expect to get results of any property we have that's in a city that starts with "San"-- San Francisco, San Diego, San Clemente, etc.

We also corrected some of the errors with our property search function; as always with any search, your best bet of finding something is to not be too specific and make sure you spell everything correctly.

Stay tuned for some more updates in the next couple weeks; we'll keep you entertained in the meantime. As always, be sure to check out our properties for great deals.

Oh, some housekeeping before I go:

You must be a registered, logged in user to make comments on this blog.

(We have several email addresses and a phone number for this. Look under the "About" tab and then under "Contact Us" for this information.) This blog is purely for disseminating information about and discussing Kazork and the real estate industry.

On a final note, let's get a discussion going and hear some feedback: What do you think of Kazork so far?
